For external rendering applications, the choice of material is determined by the exposure situation. Generally, for coastal<br>and exposed aspects, Ripstaal B.V. recommends the use of stainless steel Stucanet\u00ae. For domestic and more sheltered exposure locations, galvanised Stucanet\u00ae is acceptable. Remove the brown cardboard paper on only one short side of the panel to be fitted. This is normally the right-hand side of the panel when fitting right to left. On the horizontal (long side) edge, this is not necessary as the mesh edges are not fully covered with brown cardboard paper, allowing the mesh overlap to interlock properly and let the mesh flow around, thereby anchoring all wires across the overlap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 3: <\/strong>Positioning the Stucanet\u00ae panels<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ripstaal.nl\/media\/stucanet-ripstaal-plaatsing-1200x760.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2971\" width=\"50%\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ripstaal.nl\/media\/stucanet-ripstaal-plaatsing-1200x760.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.ripstaal.nl\/media\/stucanet-ripstaal-plaatsing-600x380.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.ripstaal.nl\/media\/stucanet-ripstaal-plaatsing-64x41.jpg 64w, https:\/\/www.ripstaal.nl\/media\/stucanet-ripstaal-plaatsing-300x190.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ripstaal.nl\/media\/stucanet-ripstaal-plaatsing-768x487.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.ripstaal.nl\/media\/stucanet-ripstaal-plaatsing.jpg 1266w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Confirmation of the Stucanet\u00ae panels<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Front and back of the panels<\/strong><br>The front for applying the render is on the printed side.<br>Bring always <strong>Stucanet\u00ae panels<\/strong> Attach with the long side perpendicular to the headrests. The length of the fixing must be at least 60 mm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Panel mounting points and locations<\/strong><br>Only use the stiffening wires of the panels, which also serve as fastening wires, to secure the panels in the frame. The fastening screws or anchors must be installed back into the frame bolt along this line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Confirmation of Stucanet\u00ae S type<br>For Stucanet\u00ae S-types, the fastening wire is a double row of wires. Install the fixings between these two wires. Commercial fixings can be used. Bekaert recommends using screws (minimum 60 mm) in combination with 50 mm plastic washers. For metal stud frame constructions, it is advised to use self-drilling\/self-tapping screws.<\/li><li>Confirmation of Stucanet\u00ae 80 type<br>For Stucanet\u00ae 80 types, the fastening wire is a solid flat wire. Commercial fastenings can be used. Bekaert recommends using screws (minimum 60 mm) in combination with SBS boards. The ventilation membrane attached to the back of the panel is extended at the top (long side) and on the left side (short side). The ventilation membrane is also temporarily held back on the right side (short side) by 95 mm behind the cardboard paper. This ensures the correct overlap for the membrane is maintained by simply installing panels on top of previously fastened panels, when the overlapping instructions described above are followed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ripstaal.nl\/media\/Verbinden-van-overlappende-panelen-stucanet.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2987\" width=\"272\" height=\"217\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ripstaal.nl\/media\/Verbinden-van-overlappende-panelen-stucanet.png 454w, https:\/\/www.ripstaal.nl\/media\/Verbinden-van-overlappende-panelen-stucanet-64x51.png 64w, https:\/\/www.ripstaal.nl\/media\/Verbinden-van-overlappende-panelen-stucanet-300x239.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 272px) 100vw, 272px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:85%\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Connecting overlapping panels<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The panels must be tied together every 4 meshes with suitable binding wire.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Correct overlap for the corners<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Always bend sheets into or around corners. Panels should always be extended to the next stud, to avoid overlaps at the corners. First layer\/base layer<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The first render layer forms the basecoat and will be applied firmly around the mesh wires in the specially designed Stucanet\u00ae cardboard slots and the anchoring.<\/li><li>The thickness of the base layer is 12 mm to<br>15 mm and combed for curing to assist with splaying and bonding with the 2nd layer topcoat.<\/li><li>In general, consult the plaster manufacturer for detailed installation instructions and follow these instructions carefully.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Comb<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The basecoat must be combed before curing to aid in the application of the 2nd topcoat.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Drugs and curing<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Consult the render manufacturer for full details on correct render application requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Second layer\/top layer<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The top coat thickness is normally 5 to 8mm.<br>Contact the plaster manufacturer for all details on the requirements for correctly applying the plaster layer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Weather protection<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the cardboard paper has become wet during outdoor storage of the panels, then the plaster should only be applied once it has completely dried out. It may be necessary to cover the Stucanet\u00ae panels with foil to protect them during periods of wet or freezing weather. In case of doubt, please consult Ripstaal for advice on plastering in adverse weather conditions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Securing heavy objects<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The securing of heavy objects (e.g. satellite dishes, exterior wall lights, etc.) must be carefully considered, as such objects cannot be secured by simply attaching them to the rendered Stucanet\u00ae panel.
