What is the StarDrain channel drain?
The Ripstaal StarDrain is a Gutter consisting of a plastic (PVC) channel element with an aluminium design grate. This channel is used around the house where there is no heavy traffic load (no lorries, but cars are permitted). The water from the Ripstaal Stardrain linear channel can, for example, be discharged to the sewer or an infiltration system. This can be done via a side or bottom outlet. By discharging the water to an infiltration system, you are also acting sustainably and improving the water balance of the soil.

StarDrain Specifications
The Rip Steel Stardrain channel drain has the option for a side and bottom outlet. The side outlet is integrated into the end plate, the bottom outlet into a connecting coupling.
For the outlet, you need to drill a Ø45mm hole in the bottom of the gutter using a hole saw.
Tips from Ripstaal
- When laying new paving, we advise you to stretch a wire to determine the level. Always set the grating 3 mm below the wire.
- When laying drainage in existing paving, we recommend making a wooden template of the desired height to use as a screed rail.
- When a gutter is installed along a rising wall, the flange on that side of the connector must be trimmed off.
