Ripstaal offers two professional solutions for this: Stucanet® & Expanded metal lath - each with unique advantages, but both developed for long-term performance and optimum ease of use.
Stucanet® is a lightweight wire panel made of galvanised steel, combined with moisture-absorbing, perforated cardboard. This innovative construction ensures excellent mortar adhesion and prevents stress cracks. Thanks to its bendable structure, Stucanet® is ideal for creative applications such as curved ceilings, niches, decorative mouldings or three-dimensional shapes.
With more than 40 years of experience in stucco supports, Ripstaal delivers top quality - produced in-house, with technical support for every application.
Stucanet® S has 2 parallel round fixing threads, and can be used in both flat and non-planar applications (e.g. arch shapes). This is because it can easily be folded to shape in all directions, unlike Stucanet® 80.
The ideal plaster carrier for flat applications such as ceilings and mittens, the Stucanet® 80 has a solid flat thread for fastening and therefore higher rigidity. Thanks to its higher rigidity, Stucanet® 80 allows working with higher spacing between, for example, wooden rafters or IPE profiles. Both types are 70 cm wide and 240 cm long.
Upon request, Stucanet® is also available in stainless steel.
Expanded metal lath from Ripstaal is a finely woven metal mesh with clay buttons at the intersections of the wires. These ensure optimum anchoring of the plaster and prevent tension in the substrate. The result: a stable, crack-free surface that can withstand temperature changes and slight movements.
