Finishing day edges: 6 easy steps
- Measure the length and width of the lintel and cut the lintel plasterboard and connection profile to size.
- Stick the connection profile against the frame and place the Day Edge gypsum board in the profile.
- Spray the back of the Day side plasterboard with an assembly or adhesive foam that does not expand. Using a shop square or spirit level, ensure that the day side plasterboard is perpendicular to the frame.
- When the adhesive foam has cured, the seams between the Day Edge Plasterboard and the window sill should be sealed. As an alternative to the connection profile, a sealant seam between the Day Edge gypsum board and the frame can also be chosen.
- The walls adjacent to the reveal can now be plastered. The reveal itself does not need to be!
- Day edge gypsum board can be finished with virtually any decorative material.
