Sustainable business is an important topic at Ripstaal, which takes shape in various ways. We are committed to the environment. In this way, we do our bit for a better world. Ripstaal considers it important to treat our planet with care. We do this by engaging in various areas.
Material and environment
To deliver top quality our products manufactured only from the very best materials. For example, we use first-class aluzinc strip steel, a high-quality PVC and aluminium in special alloys. The environmental impact of these materials is a constant point of attention for us. Ripstaal BV takes as many environmental-saving measures as possible and of course complies with all environmental laws and regulations.
Closed waste system
We also try to limit and control environmental impact as a result of our business activities through our closed-loop waste system. This Europe-wide system obliges our suppliers to take back residues of materials they supply. Our customers, in turn, can take back residues of materials delivered by them. Ripstaal BV return delivered products free of charge. We will then ensure correct handling and processing.
Residual metal products are returned for recycling.
Also within the extrusion department sustainability plays an important role. Residual PVC materials are directly reformed into a new usable material. With relatively little energy and with 100% conservation of raw material, new PVC profiles can be made (called extrusion). This makes our extrusion 100% sustainable.

Innovation and further sustainability
Ripstaal continuously invests in innovation in construction. We strive to ensure that the materials we supply have the least possible impact on the environment. We conduct research into less environmentally damaging materials.
We aim to further enhance the sustainability of our business operations by environment-friendly and energy-saving measures and by promoting sustainability awareness among our employees (waste separation, green electricity, insulation, low-energy lighting, etc.). It also reducing fuel consumption and the use of less environmentally damaging company vehicles have constant attention.
