At Ripstaal Steel Framing, we believe it is important to be involved in the design, production and installation of our steel profiles from start to finish. Thus, we do our best to realise your design with high-quality steel framing that stands the test of time.
Engineering: Before we supply custom-made steel frames, the construction project must be analysed in terms of design and engineering. Here, we determine what is needed to create a suitable steel framework for your building design.
Production: Once we have mapped this out, it is time to make the steel frames in the production hall. During this step, the frames are given the right dimensions, the holes discussed for penetrations and prepared for assembly.
Transport: This is followed by transporting the parts to the construction site.
Assembly: The final step is assembly. The parts are labelled so that the parts can be assembled like a kit.
In the production hall
Before the steel profiles can be produced, it is important to perfect the design. Based on your building plans, we develop a detailed 3D model, in which we can determine exactly which steel parts are needed to make a frame. The final design is forwarded to our machines, which shape the steel to the millimetre. This is done using roll forming. At the end of the process, every drill hole and recess is already in place. It is then possible to finish the steel frames in four different ways:
With this option, we deliver loose profiles that have not yet been assembled. This means you receive a kit that has to be fully assembled on site. We provide this kit with an installation drawing showing how the frame should be assembled including the necessary screws. This allows you to quickly and easily assemble the steel frame.
If you want to save a bit more time on site, it is possible to order partially assembled frames. Here, we make complete frames that are then easily attached to each other. All frames are numbered and, using an installation drawing, the steel frame is quickly assembled. The necessary screws are also included for mounting the steel frame.
With this option, we not only provide complete frames that are easy to assemble. In fact, we also provide these frames with exterior cladding, this is a single-sided 18 or 12 mm chipboard. This makes it possible to quickly and easily place interior pipes and insulation and a vapour control layer before the wall is completely sealed. With this option the necessary screws are also included for mounting the steel frame.
On the construction site
Most of the work takes place in the production hall, so it takes considerably less time to assemble the steel frames on site. That is the big advantage of steel frame construction. All supplied parts are clearly coded, making it easy to assemble the steel frame. From there, you can proceed super quickly and efficiently with the rest of the home's finishing touches.
